How are you doing now?
Coping well, but I’m heavily medicated so everything feels like I’m living in a soft mint world, despite all the horribleness going on

Whats lockdown like for you?

Nothing has changed much. Been living like a hermit since September 2019, but now with added company. I seem to be making more tea.

Are you able to work/ where is your studio normally? What's your current set up.
We’ve rearranged the living room to squeeze in two desks. Its a cosy arrangement. Now its starting to warm up, Im heading back to the shed,  Its too cold and leaky in winter, and there is no power in there.

What projects are you working on now?

Vitamin sea, for Paxton/  Glew of course. Building the Paxton / Glew beach hut. Love a jigsaw puzzle :-)
Always playing around with stuff
Tentative plans with a gallery in Hong Kong, but obviously the world situation might put that on hold. We shall see !
Drawing pets in collaboration with the Ben Oakley Gallery
Some new stuff for Ace Club in the pipes

Is lock down / coronavirus having an influence on your work?

I used to split my week with working in the studio and heading out to paint
I’m no longer heading out of doors, as a responsible citizen. Trying some painting from memory.
And avoiding painting on a pair of overly inquisitive cats.

Which artists/ instagram accounts are you most addicted to now?

Always John Broadley. Genius.
My friend Everett gave me a heads up about him a few years ago.

What are you listening to/ reading/ watching when you can?
Like the rest of the world it seems, Tiger King became an obsession for a while. Watched with equal horror / amusement.
And getting stuck into John Higgs book on Watling Street.

And anything else you'd like to add?

Stay at Home
