Jack Parker

Jack Parker is a multi-disciplinary artist working in the mediums of photography, film and theatre. Originally from Cornwall he now lives and works in Brighton. He has a lifelong affinity with boats and coastal landscapes which often feature in his images. Jack enjoys curating environments where his subjects are free to play and reveal their true selves, and taking time to listen to the spontaneous narratives and shapes that emerge from the unique combination of place, people and time.

Through heightened structure and colour, Jack’s photographic work aims to accentuate and clarify the inherent stories of his subjects. Jack is excited by aerial photography, using drones to find unique perspectives on the world.

Exhibited in the Photo Fringe 2022 New Vision exhibition, he has photographed the Palace Pier, West Pier and Brighton Marina. These top-down views flatten the subject in a style reminiscent of architectural drawings.

As a filmmaker he create dramatic shorts, cinematic wedding films and adverts for high profile companies.  Jack trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has spent a decade working as an actor, movement performer and creator, including in West End shows and feature films.
