Typewriter artist Keira Rathbone will be typing live at the gallery on Saturday May 29th. Keira has used her unique technique of drawing with a manual typewriter to produce detailed and atmospheric images of some of Brighton's most iconic landmarks; including the pier and the pavilion.

For our 'Brighton Rocks' exhibition, the artist has created new work which illustrates the busy seafront and saltdean, using her typewriter. When you study her work in detail you can spot the zeros, letters, dots and dashes which cleverly draw the scene. This artist has appeared numerous times on television, including BBC news and SKY landscape artist of the year, see her work for yourself in Brighton on 29 May, her process is fascinating to watch!
